Break Cancer World Records  

23 people gathered on November 15, 2010 to discuss adolescent and young adult cancer patients and families in and around Portland, Oregon. At the end of the meeting everyone said“Rompe el cancer” at once. The gathering was hosted by the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute Adolescent[] and Young Adult Oncology Program and the External Advisory Committee. The 23rd person to participate in this world record was the cameraman.

46 “Mommas” shaved their heads in solidarity with kids battling cancer. The group's goal is to raise $1 million dollars for pediatric oncology, and donate it the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

162 members of Junior Friends andThe Legend Foundation sang "IWill Survive" in honor of cancer survivors while shaking pompoms. The record was part of a fundraiser event for breast cancer awareness.

Andrew and 40 members of Atlas from Penn State Dance Marathon stared down cancer at once.

Christi Disch set a world record by gathering 2,030 online support communities together to support Break Cancer.

Nine cancer survivors and eight oncology staff members participated in a 17-person silent anti-cancer message.

Joseph Nagy let out a “boo” directed towards cancer that lasted non-stop for 54.31 seconds.

A group of young adult cancer survivors formed a circle to play drums for two minutes and 27.88 seconds during Camp Mak-A-Dream’s 2011 Teen Camp at Gold Creek Montana.

48 members of Texas 4000 donned fake mustaches and danced in a conga line. Each mustache was made using Break Cancer stickers.

The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute faculty and staff and AYA External Advisory Committee members stood and cheered without interruption in honor of the cancer survivors for one minute and 19.01 seconds.

Mason Kinard trashed “Cancer” 28 times in 30 seconds.

Christine Baze, a cervical cancer survivor, wore 166 “smiling cervixes” for Save The Hooch campaign of The Yellow Umbrella Organization.

In Celebration of Australia’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 95 sets of balloons were put together to represent as “pink boobs.” The feat was set by the Chicks In Pink charity in coordination with Racecourse Road[].

Katie Preston Toepfer wore 110 bandanas on her body at once. The record, set to raise cancer awareness, was set using CanTeen bandanas.

Rachel Sklar wiggled her left boob 64 times in 30 seconds. The record was set at a World Record Appreciation Society event held at Joe’s Pub in New York City. Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson were present as witnesses. This record contains PG–13 content. #WRAS11

A total of 48 cancer survivors and supporters from Camp Mak-A-Dream Young Adult Conference ate Fruit Loops simultaneously.
