Pete Moyer led 40 members of Hillsboro Presbyterian Church in saying "I love my mom!". They set the record during their annual mother-child banquet in celebration of Mother's Day.

Lindsey Hajduk coordinated with the Alaska Wilderness League, Center for Biological Diversity, Endangered Species Coalition and Sierra Club in gathering the largest group of people dressed as polar bears while dancing in 24 hours. A total of 391 people across the United States participated. Twitter users around the world sent a total of 224 tweets to Bena Roberts in a 24-hour period, wishing her good thoughts in her battle against cancer. Roberts, who is fighting breast cancer, had no idea the tweets were coming. The record was kicked off during a speech by URDB president Dan Rollman at the 2011 Next Conference in Berlin, Germany. Joe Svilpa’s 20-person team at the Body Machine Fitness Shop in London, Ontario flipped a 73-kilogram tire a distance of five kilometers in two hours, 30 minutes and 25 seconds. The charity feat raised $3,000 for the Hospice of London. Read more here.

This record was set as part of Toyota Prius Records, a two-day event streamed live on the Internet. In a 48-hour period, URDB officials adjudicated 200 Prius-related world records. This was the most records ever documented in a 48-hour window, a world record in and of itself. The event took place in Los Angeles, California on March 30th and 31st, 2011.
