A total of 20 people simultaneously spoke the words "Break Cancer" upon completing a marathon and half-marathon. They set the record as part of Team Shan Breast Cancer Awareness for Young Women activities during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Ontario, Canada.

A group of 120 people composed of patients, survivors, caregivers, advocates, navigators, healthcare professionals and attorneys gathered together to learn about cancer rights. The rights discussed include Employment amp; Taking Time Off Work, Health, Disability and Life Insurance Options, Access to Health Care, Insurance Navigation and Appeals, Understanding Health Care Reform, Cancer Community Resources, Genetics amp; the Law, Legislative Advocacy, Education Rights of Children and Young Adults with Cancer, and Financial Planning.

Jacob Betts and theHLUMCRelay For Life team baked a pink cancer awareness ribbon cake measuring eight feet long.

Led by Bijal Mehta of Texas 4000, 400 people registered for the "Be The Match[]" National Bone Marrow Registry. The organization’s purpose is to help raise awareness about the importance of donating bone marrow as a way to save people who are suffering from leukemia and other life-threatening diseases.

162 members of Junior Friends andThe Legend Foundation sang "IWill Survive" in honor of cancer survivors while shaking pompoms. The record was part of a fundraiser event for breast cancer awareness.

301 people came together on the Southern Utah University Thunderbirds[] football field to honor cancer survivors and Break Cancer. They were participating inThe Iron County American Cancer Society Relay for Life[].

Melissa Owens embarked upon a personal goal to break a hugging record. She gave out 600 hugs during a flash mob at Portlandrsquo;s Pioneer Courthouse Square[]. Owensrsquo; hugging record was the fifth URDB record to be set by supporters of the OHSU AYA program at the Knight Cancer Institute[].

The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute faculty and staff and AYA External Advisory Committee members stood and cheered without interruption in honor of the cancer survivors for one minute and 19.01 seconds.

With the help of [The Bright Light Social Hour][], 354 Break Cancer attendees sang "[I Will Survive][]" in honor of cancer survivors, a new world record. The Break Cancer attendees set the record during URDB’s [BreakCancer party][] at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson were present as witnesses.
