The Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Nurses (APHON) invited 300 people across the United States including their members, colleagues, patients and their families to wear "Break Cancer" tattoos. They set the record in recognition of the Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Month.

Twenty-six LIVESTRONG Young Adult Alliance members said “Break cancer for young adults” at once.

The rights discussed include Employment amp; Taking Time Off Work, Health, Disability and Life Insurance Options, Access to Health Care, Insurance Navigation and Appeals, Understanding Health Care Reform, Cancer Community Resources, Genetics amp; the Law, Legislative Advocacy, Education Rights of Children and Young Adults with Cancer, and Financial Planning.

Mel Sampson and 514 other people participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure[]. They exercised to raise breast cancer awareness.

Members of the Young Adult Oncology Group pulled a plane 15 feet in 5.19 seconds. They performed this feat to raise money for cancer research.

Jacob Betts and theHLUMCRelay For Life team baked a pink cancer awareness ribbon cake measuring eight feet long.

Jennifer Velazquez and 29 of her coworkers participated in a kickball game to spiritually “kick” cancer.
